Milborne Port is a beautiful village in the rural heart of Somerset, nestled between the green and rolling hills of the Blackmore Vale and the banks of the river Gascoigne.It has a population of around 3,000. The parish includes the hamlets of Milborne Wick and Kingsbury Regis
The village has been in continuous occupation for centuries, with prehistoric finds and features discovered on Barrow Hill, an Iron Age Hill fort in the north of the parish.
Milborne Port has a unique built form, with Anglo-Saxon and Norman features. Part of the village has now been designated a conservation area in recognition of its unique history and architecture.
