June Update

Milborne Port sign standing to attention again!

You might have noticed that the Milborne Port sign facing east opposite the entrance to Ven House had been missing for a few weeks… Well, it has now returned after a liberal dose of TLC and a new post. Lorenzo Ferrari lovingly refurbished the sign, having a particular interest in it because it was made by his metalwork teacher, John Cross, in 1960! So it is an important village artefact that the Parish Council decided needs to be preserved.  Many thanks to Lorenzo, and may it stand proudly in its place for many years to come.

Hanging Baskets Return to the High Street!

Villagers can’t have failed to notice that colour has returned to the centre of the village. The baskets arrived on a Thursday morning and waited patiently all day outside the Town Hall to be collected and hung by volunteers from the Spirit of Milborne Port. Some of the residents of houses on the High Street have kindly offered to do the watering! Enjoy!
